Spruce Salt (Granskuddsalt) 100 grams

This Norwegian herbal salt is made from fresh spruce shoots from the forests around the idyllic Krøderen, as well as sea salt from the Mediterranean.

Spruce shoots are a tasty, ancient food from Northern Europe, used as spices, vegetables, for juices and in desserts. Like herbal salt, spruce shoots are a newer phenomenon, but it is this format that has the greatest impact today. This is because granular salt is durable and has the most uses:

Use the spruce salt for seasoning and marinating red meat and inland fish. Feel free to combine with herbs (rosemary, thyme) and other “forest flavors” such as juniper, honey. Spruce salt can also be used as a table spice instead of regular salt. Tastes like the forest!
